Verification Categories
In terms of the Codes of Good Practice, businesses are categorised according to their turnover. The first step in verification is to understand which category your business falls into.
If your business has a turnover between 0 and R10 million it automatically qualifies as a 100% contributor towards BEE and qualifies as an Exempted Micro Enterprise.
If your business turns over between R10 million and R50 million per annum then it is measured against a Qualifying Small Enterprise (QSE) BEE Scorecard.
Companies with a turnover greater than R50m will be verified on all 5 elements of the NEW CODES of the B-BBEE Scorecard.
